The 16th IOAA was held from August 10 to 20 in the homeland of Nicolaus Copernicus, in Poland near the city of Krakow. More than 50 countries took part in the Olympiad. The Olympiad were superbly organized. The questions for all rounds (theoretical, data analysis and observational) were interesting and challenging. The jury members demonstrated great knowledge and professionalism. Our team of five performed at a very high level.
Our team this year consists of the following members:
1. Hongyi Huang
2. Zander Li
3. Eleanor Liu
4. Tian Pu
5. Debbie Wang
Every member of our delegation displayed exceptional dedication and passion. Their collective effort has truly showcased the talent Canada brings to the international stage, and each one of them deserves our admiration and gratitude.
We are very proud to announce that Zander Li received a gold medal, Hongyi Huang received a silver medal, and Tian Pu received a bronze medal.
We also owe a significant portion of this success to the guidance of our team leaders, Armin Hodaei and Dr. Vera Zagainova. Their expertise, combined with the talent of our high school participants, culminated in this outstanding achievement.
